Prerequisites for using the Cognos reports
To use the Cognos reports of IBM® InfoSphere Information Governance Dashboard, you must install the required components and create the necessary governance assets in the metadata repository.

You create the database connection user that accesses SQL views and tables from the IBM InfoSphere Information Governance Dashboard reports. This user also creates, maintains, and accesses InfoSphere Information Governance Dashboard configuration tables.

IBM InfoSphere Information Governance Dashboard stores translation mappings, threshold values, and connection information in configuration tables. You must create these configuration tables before running any of the reports.

Configuring Cognos Application Firewall to accept URLs
To ensure that the URL that points to IBM InfoSphere Information Governance Catalog is accepted by IBM Cognos Application Firewall, the domain and host name of that URL must be added to the IBM Cognos Application Firewall whitelist.

You must deploy the package into IBM Cognos before you can run the Cognos reports.
