Monitoring InfoSphere Data Click activities

After you run activities, you can monitor their status in the Monitoring section of InfoSphere® Data Click.

The Monitoring section provides the following information:
  • The name of the activity
  • The name of the user who ran the activity
  • The status of the activity
  • The date that the job was submitted
  • The date that the job was completed
  • The total number of rows that were moved by the activity

Unless you have the role of InfoSphere Data Click Author, only the activities that you have been granted access to are displayed.

After activities are run, they are listed in the order that they are run. To find a particular activity, enter the name of the activity in the filter box. You can apply an advanced filter to display activities based on specific character strings in their name, the dates that jobs were submitted or completed, the person that ran them, and so on.

To refresh the status of activities that were run, click the refresh button in the top right of the screen. If the same activity has been run more than once, then there will be multiple entries for the activity.

By default, 50 activities are displayed on each page. You can navigate to other pages by clicking the Page option on the bottom of the screen.

If any errors occur while running an activity, you can view additional details about the job run by selecting the activity and clicking View Details. If you hover over the status icon, you can view:
  • The overall status of the activity.
  • The status of the job that moves data to the target.
  • The status of the job that registers the data. After the data is registered, it is accessible in Information Governance Catalog and other products in the InfoSphere Information Server suite.
Select the individual jobs that you want to view in the Operations Console and select View Details. This will open a screen that displays the job details in the Operations Console.
