Configuration parameter reference

The way in which you configure CICS® Transaction Gateway depends on how the Gateway daemon is to be started.

The following sample configuration files are provided:

Sample file Used by File location
ctgsamp.ini The Gateway daemon. <install path>/samples/configuration
ctgenvvarsamp The Gateway daemon when started from the USS command line interface, or USS applications using the CICS Transaction Gateway in local mode. <install path>/samples/configuration
CTGENV The Gateway daemon when started using JCL and CTGBATCH, or applications started by CTGBATCH and using the CICS Transaction Gateway in local mode. Supplied in MVS™ data set format SCTGSAMP(CTGENV).
CTGCONF The Gateway daemon when started using JCL and CTGBATCH Supplied in MVS data set format SCTGSAMP(CTGCONF).

Use the CICSCLI and CTGENVVAR environment variables to specify the location of these files. The default location for the configuration files is <install_path>/bin/.

Note: Some lines of the configuration file are longer than 72 characters; take care when editing them.
