IBM Traveler multi-version support considerations on IBM i
With version 9.0.1, you can install multiple releases of IBM Traveler on one IBM i system with the primary language as English (2924). This means that different versions of IBM Traveler servers will work independently.
For example, if your IBM i system contains two IBM Traveler releases of higher and lower versions, and you enter an IBM Traveler command on the IBM i command line (such as ADDNTSDOM, CHGNTSDOM, RMVNTSDOM, or UPDNTSDOM), the system will use the command with the highest version of IBM Traveler as the default. If you would like to use the command with lower versions, a qualified path is required (such as, QNTSxxx/ADDNTSDOM).
Limitations
Multi-version support on IBM i is fully implemented from release 9.0.1, and is backward compatible with IBM Traveler 9.0.0.1 IF1 only.
If your environment contains a release prior to 9.0.0.1 IF1, and you plan to install multiple releases, you must upgrade your environment to IBM Traveler 9.0.0.1 IF1 or later before you install any higher version.
If your environment contains a release prior to 9.0.0.1 IF1, and you do not plan to install multiple releases, you must remove your current IBM Traveler release before you install any higher version. After installing a higher version of IBM Traveler, use UPDNTSDOM to upgrade the instances of previous IBM Traveler versions.
