Installing BIRT tools

Install BIRT reporting tools into your Eclipse client so that you can create or modify report template design files.

Before you begin

To use the BIRT reporting tools with your client, you must install a compatible version of the BIRT tools and each of its dependencies: the Database Tools Platform (DTP) plug-in, the Eclipse Modeling Framework (EMF) plug-in, the Graphical Editing Framework (GEF) plug-in, and the Eclipse Web Developer Tools Platform (WTP) plug-in. Details about BIRT prerequisites and version compatibility are available in the BIRT section of the Eclipse website.
Important: You must use the Client for Eclipse 3.6.x IDE, which you can download from the Rational Team Concert Downloads page. Click the Rational® Team Concert version, and then click the All Downloads page. In the "Plain .zip Files" section, click the appropriate platform for the Client for Eclipse 3.6x IDE:

New component folders now contain Eclipse folders
