Reuse your 4.5 or 5.0 content stores in your IBM®
Connections 5.5 deployment.
About this task
While installing IBM Connections 5.5, you are prompted to specify the locations of the 4.5 or 5.0 content stores. Instead of creating new directories, you can specify the 4.5 or 5.0 content stores so that you can reuse that content in your 5.5 deployment.
Note: You must delete any Search-related
data from your IBM Connections 4.5 or 5.0 content stores, such
as indexes and statistics. The 5.5 installation generates new Search-related data.
Procedure
- Delete the data in content stores that are related to the
Search application.
- Use the following table as a guide to deleting data that is recreated in the IBM Connections 5.5 deployment:

local_content_store is content that is stored on your local system.
