Post-update tasks

After you update IBM® Connections with the latest Cumulative Refresh, update the FileNet® and Cognos® software to take advantage of updates in Libraries and Metrics applications. Follow the steps that apply to your deployment in the following sequence.

  1. Migrating database schemas for CR2
    Applying a Cumulative Refresh (CR) usually requires that you update some applications' database schemas. Follow the procedure for your database product to update schemas for CR2.
  2. Updating FileNet components in a new deployment for a Cumulative Refresh
    If you chose a new FileNet deployment when you installed or migrated to IBM Connections 5.0 or 5.0 CR1, you must upgrade FileNet components to work with the latest features. Follow the instructions to update FileNet components after applying CR2. Skip these procedures if you have an existing FileNet deployment, in which FileNet was installed independently of IBM Connections.
