Default rules
Sample impact analysis rules are installed with IBM® Control Desk. These default rules can help you easily identify a substantial percentage of the impacts that will result from a change. Then, after you are familiar with the process, you can modify the default rules and create new rules.
The set of impact analysis rules that are provided give you a convenient starting point for running automated impact analyses. To view the impact analysis rules, click . The Configuration Items Impact Rules table lists the sample rules that are provided with the product. You use the Impact Analysis Configuration application to modify or delete the sample rules and to configure your own rules.
