Searching for accounts with the MDM Powered Search using MDM Advanced Edition

If you have InfoSphere® MDM Advanced Edition, you can use this procedure to search for accounts by using the MDM Powered Search scenario.

Before you begin

Before you search for accounts, complete these tasks.

About this task

The search returns results from Salesforce.com and from any additional source systems that you have, including InfoSphere MDM. From the search results, you can view account details or add a new account.

Procedure

  1. Open a browser and go to http://salesforce.com/.
  2. Click IBM InfoSphere MDM.
  3. On the IBM InfoSphere MDM Powered Capabilities page, click Go to InfoSphere MDM Powered Search.
  4. Enter the name of the account you want to view in the Search for Account in MDM field and click Go.
  5. To view account details, click the account name.
    • If the account is from the Salesforce.com source (SFDCA), you can edit the account data.
    • If the account is from a source other than Salesforce.com, you can click Clone Account to create the account in Salesforce.com and then change any data that you want.
  6. To add a new account, click Create Account and complete the information.
  7. To view contact information, click the contact name. If the account associated with the contact is from the Salesforce.com source (SFDCA), you can edit the contact data.
