Rolling back an applied fix pack

If you have applied a fix pack, but later determine that you wish to remove it, you can roll back the updates.

About this task

Rolling back a fix pack is a two stage process. First, you must manually roll back some configuration updates, and then use IBM® Installation Manager to roll back the remaining fix pack elements and complete the rollback process.

Procedure

  1. Follow the instructions in the appropriate fix pack readme file to manually roll back the configuration changes.
The manual rollback steps are the first stage in the rollback process. It is critical that you complete the manual steps as part of removing an applied fix pack.
  2. Complete the rollback process using IBM Installation Manager:
    1. Start IBM Installation Manager.
    2. Select Roll Back, then click Next.
    3. Select the version that you want to roll back, then click Next.
    4. Click Roll Back. IBM Installation Manager will complete the rollback process.
