Before you run the IBM® Accelerator for Social Data Analytics application
to generate the social media data, run the Data Download application
in the BigInsights™ Console
to create a BigOut directory within your BigInsights installation. 
The BigOut directory and subdirectories
must be in placed before you can bring in the raw social media data
sample that is included with the Social MDM Matching application.
- Ensure that the Data Download application is deployed.
If it has not, follow these substeps. Otherwise, continue with step
2.
- In the BigInsights Console,
select the Manage tab.
- Find the Text/DataDownload application,
and click Deploy.
- After the application is deployed, return to the Run tab
and continue with step 2.
- In the BigInsights Console,
search for "Data Download".
- From the search results, click to configure the Data
Download application.
- In the panel that opens, set the required values:
- Agree to terms
- Check the box.
- Select data set
- Specify Sample social data set
- Target directory
- Specify /BigOut/data/raw_tweets/
- When the Data Download application
finishes, go to the /BigOut/data/raw_tweets/input/batch_tweets directory
and, as a precaution, delete the contents of this directory. If
you are planning to bring in social media data multiple times, deleting
the contents of this directory helps to avoid collisions.
- Delete the contents of the directory.
- Go to the Big Match installation
directory and copy the raw data sample file: $BIGINSIGHTS_HOME/bigmatch/etc/social/person/bmTweets.json
- Copy the bmTweets.json file into the /BigOut/data/raw_tweets/input/batch_tweets directory.
