The virtual MDM and physical MDM models store information differently. The physical MDM domains provide normalized data structures while the virtual MDM models that represent the data structures are much less normalized. Virtual MDM and physical MDM models for the Party domain are provided as part of InfoSphere® MDM Advanced Edition along the mapping between these models. As you make changes to the data structures of either the physical MDM or virtual MDM model, ensure that the mapping is updated in order for these changes to be leveraged as part of the hybrid MDM capabilities.
