Roles and tasks in an InfoSphere MDM Collaboration Server system

For most PIM systems, the tasks that are accomplished in the product are covered by users in three main roles: business users, system administrators, and solution developers. Depending on the role that you have, certain tasks might not be available for you.

Business users
Users who manage the content of the product information.
System administrators
Users who manage the database and system, logs and performance, and access for other users.
Solution developers
Users who create the objects that make up the PIM system, such as workflows and collaboration areas, specs, imports, and web services.
