Integrating WebSphere MQ with InfoSphere MDM Collaboration Server

You can use IBM® InfoSphere® Master Data Management Collaboration Server with WebSphere® MQ to connect InfoSphere MDM Collaboration Server with enterprise applications to send and receive messages.

The main benefit of integrating with WebSphere MQ is the enterprise-wide connectivity. Any enterprise application can create the messages for InfoSphere MDM Collaboration Server, and WebSphere MQ can route these messages.

In some scenarios, an external business process must receive or update the InfoSphere MDM Collaboration Server data. Different organizations within the enterprise can take business decisions that are based on this data. Therefore, integrating InfoSphere MDM Collaboration Server with a competent message-oriented middleware product such as WebSphere MQ is a good communication option.

A message is defined as input in CSV, XML, or UDF format that is provided by an external source. These messages can be parsed before they are sent or after you receive the messages by using the Script API or Java™ API of InfoSphere MDM Collaboration Server that is provided for interacting with WebSphere MQ.

InfoSphere MDM Collaboration Server supports two ways of sending messages by using WebSphere MQ:
WebSphere MQ native message format
These messages can be produced by any WebSphere MQ support languages.
WebSphere MQ JMS
These messages can be produced by only JMS message aware API provided by WebSphere MQ. These APIs can be JMS or XMS clients for WebSphere MQ.

IBM WebSphere MQ is bundled with InfoSphere MDM Collaboration Server.
