You must modify the database schema of your current installation by using migration scripts for migrating from prior versions to IBM® InfoSphere® Master Data Management Collaboration Server Version 11.4.

You must have adequate permissions to create and modify tables, and indexes in the database. You must also have adequate permissions to create and delete files in the subdirectories of the $TOP directory.

Migration involves the following basic steps:

• Verify that enough database table space is available.
• Stop the instance that is using the database schema.
• Back up the existing database schema.
• Install InfoSphere MDM Collaboration Server V11.4 and point to the same database schema that the earlier instance was using.
• Run the appropriate migration script to modify the database schema and bring it to the InfoSphere MDM Collaboration Server V11.4 level.
