Develop applications

You can develop application to use with IBM® InfoSphere® Master Data Management Collaboration Server.

Important: Code examples that are used in this documentation are meant to explain and show concepts. The examples are not meant to be working code and therefore not directly used.

Languages and code
There are two different types of code you can write and use with IBM InfoSphere Master Data Management Collaboration Server. You can choose from Java™ API or Script API. Queries can be called from the script and the Java code. After you choose the type of code, you then need to add the code to InfoSphere MDM Collaboration Server.
Creating web services
You can create a web service so that users can access Collaboration Server system data from an external application. For example, you can create a web service to search for items in a specific catalog.

IBM InfoSphere Master Data Management Collaboration Server provides several different samples that you can use to develop your Collaboration Server solution.
Developing scripts and extension points using the Script Workbench
You can develop scripts and Java extension points using Script Workbench for InfoSphere MDM Collaboration Server.
Deploying applications
IBM InfoSphere Master Data Management Collaboration Server can have the need to use third party JARs or custom JARs.
