Lesson 1: Creating a metadata project

The Workbench provides a project type, called the MDM Metadata project, to represent a metadata package. A metadata package represents a collection of metadata content of varying types. After a metadata project is created, different types of metadata (such as specs) can be created within it.

Procedure

  1. Launch IBM® Rational® Application Developer to open the MDM Workbench.
  2. Click File > New > Other > Master Data Management > Metadata > Metadata Project and click Next.
  3. In the Metadata Project window, enter DemoProduct in the Project name field.
  4. Select the Use default location option, and click Finish.
