Enabling generation of JAX-RPC Web Services for projects imported from versions of InfoSphere MDM previous to version 11.0

If you have a project created with a previous version of the product which uses JAX-RPC web services and you would like to migrate to InfoSphere® MDM v11, you can continue to generate JAX-RPC web services as you did before.

About this task

The legacy interface will only be generated for projects where JAX-RPC web services would have been generated by the older version. This will be the case for projects created before InfoSphere MDM version 10 or projects created using newer versions where generation of JAX-RPC web services was manually enabled.

If you want to continue generating JAX-RPC web services, you must first import the JAX-RPC web services EAR.

If you do not wish to generate JAX-RPC web services, then you are advised to update your mdmgen.properties file to the latest version.

To update your mdmgen.properties file, take the following steps:

Procedure

  1. Delete the mdmgen.properties file.
  2. Open the module.mdmxmi and generate code.

What to do next

A new mdmgen.properties file will be created containing all the default values (including any new settings which have been added since the project was originally created).
