Verifying pattern deployment

To verify that an InfoSphere® MDM pattern deployed successfully, you can run the provided installation verification Test Client.

Before verifying that the InfoSphere MDM pattern deployed successfully, review the issues and workarounds that are documented in Troubleshooting installations of Standard or Advanced Editions.

About this task

The Test Client runs a verification routine to test the InfoSphere MDM installation by running four transactions:

Three physical MDM transactions to add a person, an organization, and a contract
One virtual transaction

If the test transactions are successful, then the installation completes successfully.

Important: The installation verification tests are automatically run after InfoSphere MDM pattern deployment, but these automatic tests fail due to known issues. To verify successful pattern deployment, you must manually rerun the Test Client.

Procedure

Log on to the machine where InfoSphere MDM was installed.
Run the InfoSphere MDM installation verification Test Client (IVT).
Navigate to the InfoSphere MDM installation directory.
Under the installation directory, navigate to IVT/testCases/xml/response. In this folder, there are several files:
- ResponseTCRMaddPerson.xml
- RespnseTCRMaddOrganization.xml
- ResponseTCRMaddContract.xml
Open these files to view the responses from the test transactions. The contents of these files should indicate success (<ResultCode>SUCCESS</ResultCode>), except for ResponseTCRMaddContract.xml, which should indicate that GivenNameOne is required.
