IBM InfoSphere Master Data Management, Version 11.3The hybrid MDM API is a combination of transactions. Some transactions are specific to hybrid MDM. Others are transactions within the physical MDM API that have been enhanced to serve functions within hybrid MDM.
You must enable the hybrid MDM mode to use the hybrid MDM API. Until hybrid MDM mode is enabled, the hybrid MDM API transactions (persistEntity and getPartyByEntityId) are not available.
After hybrid MDM mode is enabled, the physical MDM API can no longer add, update, or delete any objects that exist in the mapping between physical MDM and virtual MDM and is managed by virtual MDM. This restriction prevents the physical MDM API from updating objects that you persisted from the virtual MDM. For example, if you attempt to run addPerson or addPartyAddress with an AddressUsageType used in the map, the system returns an error message. The error message indicates that hybrid attributes cannot be added or updated.
