Configuring promotion

You configure promotion by setting the values of predefined properties in a configuration XML file.

Procedure

You can set the promotion configuration properties in either of the following ways:

Modify the configuration XML file directly by using the web UI.
Create the configuration XML file offline and load it in to WSRR.

In order for the settings in your promotion properties configuration file to become active, you must load the file into WSRR.

You can configure promotion on a single host by running two instances of WSRR on two WebSphere® Application Servers.
Configuring promotion to multiple runtime environments
If you have multiple runtime environments that are not configured in a cluster, you can still promote to all these environments in a single operation.
Setting the update all logical objects option
You can set the update all logical objects option from the WSRR Web UI. This affects the behavior of re-promotion in your configuration profile.
