Special upgrade considerations
Certain special upgrade considerations might apply if you are using certain features in your existing WSRR installation.
The special considerations are described in the following topics.
- Upgrade considerations if you are using UDDI synchronization
You must complete a number of actions, as part of the upgrade process, if you are using the UDDI synchronization feature - Upgrade considerations if you are using Advanced Lifecycle Edition
If you have previously configured Advance Lifecycle Edition to integrate WSRR V6.3, V7.0, V7.5, or V8.0 with Rational® Asset Manager Version 7.1, and you have upgraded WSRR to Version 8.5, you must modify your configuration so that Rational Asset Manager can connect to the new WSRR location. - Upgrade considerations if you are using predefined persisted queries
If you are using any predefined persisted queries, you must be aware of any possible changes to their return values after you have upgraded. - Upgrade considerations if you are using subscriptions
WSRR V7.5 introduced a new subscription notifier feature. If you are using subscriptions, and upgrading from V6.3 or V7.0, your users might add additional properties to subscription objects after upgrade, to use the new subscription notifier feature. - Upgrade considerations if you are using the email notification service
From WSRR V7.5, the email notification service is replaced by a new email subscription notifier. If you are upgrading from a version of WSRR before V7.5, and you are using the email notification service, your configuration settings are migrated automatically to the new email subscription notification configuration. After you have completed your upgrade, email notification messages continue to be generated as before. - Upgrade considerations if you are using Email Owner or Email Consumers
There are upgrade considerations if you plan to use the Email Owner or Email Consumers feature in the dashboard. - WebSphere MQ business objects behavior changed in V7.5
In WSRR V7.5 the MQ business objects changed. You see that these objects are different after you load a WMQ WSDL into the Service Registry with the MQ parser enabled.
