Installation overview

You must prepare your computer and choose the appropriate IBM® Security Directory Server installation mode that is applicable for your operating system.

The following installation methods are available for supported operating systems:

IBM Installation Manager
  • Windows x86-64
  • Window 32-bit (client only)
Native wrapper installer scripts
  • AIX
  • Linux x86-64
  • Linux i/pSeries
  • Linux zSeries
  • Solaris SPARC

For installation on any other supported operating system, you can use the operating system command-line utilites to install IBM Security Directory Server.

With the installer that is based on IBM Installation Manager, GUI and silent installation is supported for IBM Security Directory Server.
