If your database software is installed and the database
server is running, you can create and configure a database either
prior to installing IBM® Rational® Asset Manager,
or while using the Rational Asset Manager server
setup application. If you are using IBM DB2® on supported operating systems
other than z/OS®, the server
setup application can create the databases for you.
If you are using IBM WebSphere® Application Server and DB2 on a supported operating system
other than z/OS and you choose
to create your database with the Rational Asset Manager server
setup application, skip this section.
