Securing the Liberty profile environment

When you install Liberty with WebSphere® eXtreme Scale, you can configure security at the client and server levels.

About this task

When you configure security for the Liberty witheXtreme Scale servers, use the Liberty server.xml to specify the server properties file. To configure security for your clients, use the WebSphere Application Server administrative console.

Procedure

  1. To configure security with your servers, then use the server.xml file to specify the path to the server properties file, which contains all of the security settings.
  2. To configure security for your clients, use the administrative console to specify the client security settings.
