Installing the dashboard

InfoSphere® Data Replication Dashboard Version 11.3.3.0 is a complete version of the dashboard and does not require any previous versions be installed on the same system.

However, Version 11.3.3.0 can be installed on systems where previous versions are already installed, and all monitoring groups and users are preserved. Alert settings will be reset to default if you are upgrading from version 11.3.3.0 or older. Make sure to set the thresholds and contacts again.

For a successful installation, ensure that you:

Meet all software and hardware requirements.
Have administrator rights if you are installing on a Windows system.
Have root authority if you are installing on an AIX® or Linux system.

Important: You must clear your browser cache after upgrading the dashboard to Version 11.3.3.0. Otherwise the dashboard might not work properly because temporary files from the previous version are still in the cache. If you use your browser to access different versions of the dashboard, you must also clear the browser cache.

The installation program provides you with the web address of the dashboard web server. Bookmark the web address for future use and forward it to anyone else who will be using the dashboard.

To launch the installation program, follow the steps for your operating system:

Windows

Double click the IBM_DataReplDash_11.3.3.0_Windows_x86.exe installation file.

Linux

Run one of the following commands, depending on your Linux platform:

x86

chmod u+x IBM_DataReplDash_11.3.3.0_Linux_x86.bin
./IBM_DataReplDash_11.3.3.0_Linux_x86.bin

zSeries s390

chmod u+x IBM_DataReplDash_11.3.3.0_Linux_s390.bin
./IBM_DataReplDash_11.3.3.0_Linux_s390.bin

AIX

Run the following commands:

chmod u+x IBM_DataReplDash_11.3.3.0_AIX_ppc_64.bin
./IBM_DataReplDash_11.3.3.0_AIX_ppc_64.bin

Installing from a command window

You can install the dashboard on systems without a graphical environment. When you start the installation program, it detects whether a graphical environment is present, and if not launches an operating system command window. Follow the prompts to provide all necessary input for a successful installation.
