Supported sources and targets

The following table shows the replication sources and targets that are supported for SQL Replication, Q Replication, and Event Publishing.

While the table reflects sources and targets that are technically supported by these replication technologies, not all sources, targets, and configurations are covered by the replication entitlement that is included in certain Db2® versions. If you are using replication through your Db2 entitlement, check the corresponding version of your Db2 license to learn what you are entitled to use from replication. The Software License Agreements page is available at the following URL: http://www.ibm.com/software/sla/sladb.nsf.

To use the full functionality of IBM® InfoSphere® Data Replication, discuss the InfoSphere Data Replication license with your IBM sales representative.

  1. Db2 12 (with Db2 APAR PI70998) and Db2 11 for z/OS require the Q Capture and Capture programs from IBM InfoSphere Data Replication for Db2 for z/OS Version 10.2.1 and higher. For Db2 12, replication APAR PI66768 or higher also is required. The Q Apply and Apply programs at architecture level 1001 work with Db2 12 and 11 for z/OS.
  2. For the listed federated targets, replication supports all of the data source versions that are supported by InfoSphere Federation Server, including Oracle 12c with Federation Server 10.5 Fix Pack 7.
  3. For native Oracle targets (without federation), Oracle 11.1g, Oracle 11.2g, Oracle 12c, or Oracle 12c R2.
