Yum repository configuration fails when you deploy KVM for IBM z Systems compute node

When you attempt to deploy a KVM for IBM z Systems® based compute node by using the deployment server, it fails with a yum repository error.

Problem

When you attempt to deploy a KVM for IBM z Systems based compute node by using the deployment server, you receive the following message:

STDERR: https://<icm-deployment-server-hostname>:14443/yum-repo/openstack/kilo/rhel1/s390x/repodata/repomd.xml: 
[Errno 14] HTTPS Error 404 - Not Found 
Trying other mirror.

Causes

The compute node contains a chef-client version that is not compatible with KVM for IBM z Systems.

Resolution

Uninstall the installed chef-client, and then restart the deployment.
