History page

You can use the History page to view the status of all actions in the management component.

When you click the History tab, the History page opens showing a summary of each completed action. You can use this page to view more information about an action.

The History page contains the following sections:

History grid

You can filter the data in the grid by clicking the Define filter icon, and adding a rule.

The following table shows information about the properties shown in the History grid.

Table 1. Properties Shown in the History Grid
Property Description
Status The status of the action:
  • In progress
  • Success
  • Failure
Action Description of the action.
User ID The WebSphere® Appliance Management Center user name of the user that initiated the action.
Submitted The date and time the action request was submitted.
Updated The date and time the action request was last updated or completed.

Details panel

The Details panel shows any information associated with an action.

The following table gives a description of the information that is shown in the messages in the Details panel on the History page. This panel shows the messages that are received about each substep of an action.

Table 2. Information in the Messages in the Details Panel
Attribute Description
Message The message about the action.
Timestamp The date and time that the substep completed.
Message identifier The identifier for the message, see Diagnostic messages.
Explanation More information about the problem. Applicable to failure messages only.
Suggestion Information about how to find a solution. Applicable to failure messages only.
Additional technical information A message, from a lower-level component, that describes the problem that generated the main message. Applicable to failure messages only.
