Select option 4. View audit history of processed segments to
view a trace of all the segments of a database that you viewed while you navigated through the
database.
About this task
This feature is available only from the time when IMS Database
Repair Facility is invoked for a
selected database until it is re-invoked and option 2. View/Update database is again
selected for that database. At that point, the history file is reallocated.
Procedure
Select option 4. View audit history of processed segments in
the Main menu and
press Enter.
In the Select IMS system panel,
select the IMS system ID that
is associated with the history of segments that you want to review
by entering an S in the input field that corresponds
to the IMS system ID. Then, press
Enter.
In the Specify database panel,
specify the database name or, for a partitioned database, the master
DBD name in the DBD name field.
Then, press Enter.
If you specify the master DBD name of a partitioned database,
the Partition Selection List panel
is displayed. Select a partition in the panel by entering an S for
the partition. Then, press Enter.
Review the history of processed segments in the Audit history of processed segments panel.
This panel includes the RBAs of all segments that were accessed while
you navigated through the database. Additional information is also
shown to help you identify the segment and how it was accessed during IMS Database
Repair Facility run.
The segment that was most recently
accessed is shown at the top of the list. Identifying information
about the segments is provided under the Time heading.
This panel contains the following fields:
DBD
The name of the database, or for a partitioned database, the name of the
partition.
DBORG
The database organization type.
DSORG
The organization type of the data set.
SC
The segment code.
DSG
The data set group number or, for a DEDB, the area number.
Seg-RBA
The relative byte address of the segment.
>4G
N
Indicates that the segment is in the first 4 GB of the database.
Y
Indicates that the segment is in the second 4 GB of an OSAM database.
Src-Ptr
The type of pointer, which can be one of the following types:
PTF
Physical twin forward pointer.
PCF
Physical child first pointer.
PP
Physical parent pointer.
Ini
If you accessed this location in the database by specifying an
initial value, such as an RBA, block number, or key, Ini is displayed.
Time
The time of segment access. It consists of the year, month, day, hour, minute, and second in the
following
format:
yy/mm/ddhh:mm:ss
What to do next
To return to the Main menu,
press END several times until the Main menu is
displayed.
