Network ports

If you are using the WebSphere® DataPower® XC10 Appliance behind a firewall, you must enable communication through the following ports.

Catalog server
The ports below are used by the catalog server. The first three appliances that are added to the collective each run one catalog server.
Peer port: Used for communication between catalog servers. This port is set to use 6601.
Client port: Used for communication between catalog servers. This port is set to use 6602.
JMX service port: Used for non SSL JMX connections such as the xscmd utility. This port is set to use 1099.
JMX connector port: Used for SSL JMX connections, such as the xscmd utility. This port is set to use 1100, and selects a port between 7100-7116.
ORB listener port: Used for communication between the client and the data grid servers. This port is set to use 2809.
CSIv2 listener port: Used for secure communication between the client and the data grid servers. This port is set to use 7499.
SNMP port: Used for SNMP monitoring. This port is set to use 161.
Note: WebSphere DataPower XC10 Appliance supports SNMP version 2vc.
The following ports are needed for communication between container servers:
DCS core group ports: Used for internal WebSphere DataPower XC10 Appliance DCS communication: This port uses a port in the range: 6700-6716.
ORB listener ports: Used for communication between the client and the data grid servers. This port uses a port in the range: 6800-6816.
CSIv2 listener port: Used for secure communications between the client and the data grid servers. This port uses a port in the range: 7500-7516
Note: If appliances are in a collective and are on different sides of the firewall, then the container ports DCS, ORB, and CSIv2, along with catalog ports 6601, and 6602 must be opened for bidirectional communication.
Browser ports
Open port 80 and 443 if you want to use the appliance console or any REST services. Some configuration options might fail if not all the appliances in the collective have these ports open.
Client servers
The WebSphere eXtreme Scale Client uses a listener port. This port is specified in the client properties file in the wxs_client_root\properties directory.
Problem determination application
Open port 9060 for the problem determination application.
