Installing Rational Agent Controller

IBM® Rational® Agent Controller is a daemon that allows client applications to launch and manage local or remote applications providing information about running applications to other applications. It can be used to profile applications that you publish to an IBM WebSphere® Application Server.

About this task

You do not need to install Rational Agent Controller if the WebSphere Application Server is installed on the same computer as IBM Rational Application Developer for WebSphere Software. However, to remotely profile your applications, you must install Rational Agent Controller on the same computer as the WebSphere Application Server where you published your applications.
