You can create deployment descriptors and manage the WebSphere® extensions and bindings
in your enterprise applications. You can also change your module dependencies using the deployment
descriptor editor.
Application deployment descriptor editor
While deployment descriptors
are not required since Java EE
5 as they were in J2EE 1.4 and earlier specifications, you can include
deployment descriptors in your enterprise applications, and change
to your module dependencies using the deployment descriptor editor.
Generating deployment descriptors for WebSphere managed beans bindings
You can generate deployment descriptors for WebSphere managed beans bindings for your
enterprise applications and web projects. The deployment descriptors are automatically added to the
new ibm-managed-beans-bnd.xml file, which you can open in the Managed
Beans Bindings Editor.
