The IBM® Security Privileged Identity Manager manufacturing
refresh for the IBM Privileged Session Recorder Server and
virtual appliance contains new features, enhancements, currency support,
and fixes.
New features
- Text-based recording
- Record and play back terminal-based sessions in a text format
for storage and search. Session recordings of terminal emulators,
such as PuTTY and IBM Personal
Communications, are viewed as text-based recordings.
Note: This feature
requires IBM Security Access Manager for Enterprise Single Sign-On,
Version 8.2.1, Fix Pack 3.
- Database archiving
- Archive session recordings on the IBM Privileged Session Recorder Server according
to required online data retention policies. An indicator is displayed
if the recording is archived. For more information, see Database archival.
- IBM Cognos® reporting framework
- IBM Security Privileged Identity Manager supports
the IBM Cognos reporting framework for
report generation. Use IBM Cognos Connection to generate
the Privileged Identity Manager Cognos-based reports.
You can also use the bundled report model to customize and generate
different types of IBM Security Privileged Identity Manager reports
that suit your requirements.
Note: Support for IBM Tivoli® Common Reporting is being
