Use the ccm set_password command to store
encrypted passwords when you use the esd service. Build managers commonly
use this command to start Rational® Synergy
sessions from scripts without being prompted for passwords.
About this task
ESD is applicable only if you are using it for Rational Change.
Procedure
- Type the usage form for the ccm set_password command:
$ ccm set_password host
where host is
the destination host.
The ccm set_password command
stores your passwords in an encrypted file (.ccmrc)
under your home directory.
- Specify different passwords for different destination hosts.
If you do not provide a destination host name, the password
entered is treated as the default password for all destination machines
that do not have an explicit password.
