Use reports to communicate with work partners who do not have access to your rule project. Rule Designer provides three BIRT report templates.
Reports are very useful for archive and audit purposes, for example to keep a history of a rule project as it evolves. It is also useful for communicating about what is in the rule project, with people who work with you on a project, but who do not have access to your rule project.
businessrulereport.rptdesign: provides detailed information on rule artifacts, ruleset parameters, and ruleflows.
consistencycheckingreport.rptdesign: runs consistency checks on business rules.
rulecompletenessreport.rptdesign: reports possible gaps in rulesets.
Using consistency and completeness reports, you can keep a record of the analysis results and prove that the rules you developed are consistent.
The report templates are created using the BIRT report designer. You can easily customize them. For more information, see Customizing reports.
