An
error occurred at program startup. This message is usually the result
of a path or permission problem with a configuration file or an invalid
parameter in a configuration file.
User response
Verify that the instance owner has at least read
permission for the configuration files (
ars.ini,
ars.cfg,
ars.cache,
and
ars.dbfs). Verify that all parameters used
in the configuration files are valid. Verify that the paths to other
configuration files in the
ars.ini file are correct.
If the problem persists, contact your IBM® Service
Representative.
Note: If you are running the arsdb configuration
utility during initial setup, you receive the following message:
ARS4012E
In
this case, receiving the error message is normal and informational.
Remember: If this instance was created in 8.5 or
above for z/OS, then define
ARS_ORIGINAL_CODEPAGE=37 in
ars.cfg.
If this instance was created before 8.5 define
ARS_ORIGINAL_CODEPAGE=nnnn in
ars.cfg.
After
ARS_ORIGINAL_CODEPAGE is set it must never
change.
