You must have a user ID that meets the following requirements
before you can install your product.
- Your user ID must not contain double-byte characters.
- For administrator installs:
- For Windows, the user
privileges required for install tasks and to start the launchpad depend on the version of Windows on your computer:
- For Windows 7, 2008, and later versions, you
must log in to the Administrator account and run as Administrator;
right-click the program file or shortcut and select Run
as Administrator.
- For other supported Windows versions,
you must have a user ID that belongs to the Administrators group.
- For Linux, you must log
in as a user with root authority for install tasks and to start the
launchpad. The product can then be run as non-root.
