Configuring the collation.properties file entries

This topic lists the collation.properties file entries that the sensor uses.

The sensor uses the following entries in the collation.properties file:

Fix Pack
3 com.ibm.cdb.discover.sensor.net.BridgeSnmpSensor.dot1dTpFdbStatus
This property specifies the values of the dot1dTpFdbStatus object.
By default, TADDM supports values 1, 3, and 5.
If you use network switches that support other values than the default ones, add this property to the collation.property file with the specified values.
com.collation.discover.agent.net.BridgeSnmpAgent.filterCiscoTrunkPort
This property specifies whether the sensor ignores the discovery of MAC addresses on the trunk ports of Cisco devices.
In TADDM 7.3.0.2 and earlier, the default value is false, which means that MAC addresses are discovered. If you want to disable it, add this property to the collation.properties file and set it to true.
Important: If you set this property to true, you must also enable the CDP Protocol for the discovery switches, and you must enable the CdpSensor in the discovery profile.
Fix Pack
3In TADDM 7.3.0.3, and later, the default value is true. To enable the discovery of MAC addresses on trunk ports, add this property to the collation.properties file and set it to false.

2 com.collation.discover.agent.net.BridgeSnmpAgent.filterLLDPTrunkPort
This property specifies whether the sensor ignores the discovery of MAC addresses on the FDB switch trunk ports.
In TADDM 7.3.0.2, the default value is false, which means that MAC addresses are discovered. If you want to disable it, add this property to the collation.properties file and set it to true.
Important: If you set this property to true, you must also enable the LLDP Protocol for the discovery switches, and you must enable the LldpSensor in the discovery profile.
Fix Pack
3In TADDM 7.3.0.3, and later, the default value is true. To enable the discovery of MAC addresses on trunk ports, add this property to the collation.properties file and set it to false.
Fix Pack
2 com.collation.discover.agent.net.BridgeSnmpAgent.filterExtremeTrunkPort
This property specifies whether the sensor ignores the discovery of MAC addresses on the trunk ports of Extreme devices.
In TADDM 7.3.0.2, the default value is false, which means that MAC addresses are discovered. If you want to disable it, add this property to the collation.properties file and set it to true.
Important: If you set this property to true, you must also enable the EDP Protocol for the discovery switches, and you must enable the ExtremeVlanSensor in the discovery profile.
Fix Pack
3In TADDM 7.3.0.3, and later, the default value is true. To enable the discovery of MAC addresses on trunk ports, add this property to the collation.properties file and set it to false.
