Case Analyzer is
installed as part of Content Platform Engine.
To upgrade Case Analyzer, you
must ensure that the current versions of the components are installed
and, depending on the release being upgraded from, perform additional
tasks to upgrade the databases.
Complete the following tasks to upgrade
Case Analyzer version 4.5.1, 5.0.0, or
5.1.0 to version 5.2.1:
- Open Process Task Manager and collect information that you need
to update the Case Analyzer databases.
For more information, see Collecting settings for caupgrade wizard.
- Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\IBM\FileNet\Case Analyzer\jpa or C:\Program
Files (x86)\IBM\FileNet\Process Analyzer\jpa and copy the analyzer.properties file
to a location that can be accessed by the caupgrade wizard.
- Uninstall or disable the Case Analyzer Engine.
- Ensure that the FileNet® P8 components
have been upgraded to version 5.2.1.
- Run the IBM® Case Foundation installation program to install and
configure the SSAS Connector.
- Create the data sources for the connections to the database.
- Launch the caupgrade wizard and update the databases.
- Set the Analysis Exporter Enabled flag on the domain to
true. Open the Administration Console for Content Platform Engine. From the
top-level domain, find the Subsystem Configurations property. Select
Process Engine Configuration as the subsystem to configure, and set the value
of the Analysis Exporter Enabled property to true. After
saving the change, restart the application server.
- Process the OLAP cubes by using the Process Task Manager or schedule
the processing of cubes in the Administration Console for Content Platform Engine.
Complete the following tasks to upgrade
Case Analyzer to version 5.2.1.
Note: When
you upgrade Content Platform Engine from
version 5.2.0 to version 5.2.1, the Case Analyzer databases are automatically
upgraded when the Content Platform Engine server
is restarted.
- Ensure that the FileNet P8 components
have been upgraded to version 5.2.1.
- Run the IBM Case Foundation installation
program to upgrade to the latest version of the Case Analyzer components.
