Before you install FileNet® P8, you must prepare your environment by deciding how you want to configure your system architecture, installing any prerequisite software, configuring security, and configuring other components. Use the Installation and Upgrade worksheet while you plan.
The Installation and Upgrade worksheet is a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet that describes the properties and parameters required to complete installation, upgrade, and configuration. Use it to record the values that you assign to these properties and parameters.
You can filter the planning and preparation information in this information center by product component, database, and application server. For example, you can view only information about the Content Platform Engine that uses a DB2® database and WebSphere® Application Server. The content is filtered in the navigation tree at the left.
