When you run IBM System Usage Reporter, you input information
about the number of authorized users, the number of authorized concurrent
users, and a specific period to obtain the summary information about
system usage at a client site.
Description of the summary information:
- General Usage Summary – Provides the following view-only information,
which you can use to compare the authorized numbers with the actual
numbers
- Date and time of statistics calculation
- Time that the statistics cover
- Number of server processors
- Number of authorized users
- Number of distinct (actual) users
- Number of authorized concurrent users
- Number of actual concurrent users
- Usage Summary
- Distinct (actual) users – Indicates the top 10 named users. Users
other than the distinct users are highlighted in red at the top of
the screen.
- Actual concurrent users – Indicates the peak usage periods. Users
other than the actual concurrent users are highlighted in red at the
top of the screen.
- Usage Detail Summary - Provides detailed information about usage
at peak periods and selected time periods.
Usage summary data and usage detail summary data can be viewed
online or exported for printing.
