Before you can add documents or other objects to an object
store, you can define custom classes and properties, depending on
the needs of your application. You can then add documents and objects
to the object store and organize them into folders.
Classifying documents
Documents that are checked into Content Platform Engine require a class. A
document can be classified manually, with a user selecting the document's
class, or it can be classified automatically when the document is
checked in. In addition, an incoming document of a specified MIME
type can be automatically assigned to a target document class and
selected properties of that target class can be set based on values
that are found in the incoming document.
Working with documents
As an administrator, you can configure the settings that
affect documents and work with document objects and metadata.
Working with folders
As an administrator, you can modify folder behavior and
security and configure what the folders contain. You can create subclasses
of the base folder class and add custom properties that are passed
to new folders based on that class. You can hide and unhide folders
and create subscriptions for folder events.
