Verifying your IBM Integration Bus Healthcare Pack installation

You can verify that IBM® Integration Bus Healthcare Pack is installed successfully by verifying that the IBM Integration Bus components are enabled for IBM Integration Bus Healthcare Pack.

Before you start:
Before you begin, complete the following task:

Verify that the IBM Integration Toolkit is enabled for IBM Integration Bus Healthcare Pack

Verify that the IBM Integration Toolkit is enabled.

If you installed the Patterns, Nodes, and Libraries in the IBM Integration Toolkit component, verify that the IBM Integration Toolkit is enabled for the IBM Integration Bus Healthcare Pack by completing the following step:

  1. Open the IBM Integration Toolkit.
    • Windows
platformOn Windows, click Start > All Programs > IBM Integration Toolkit > IBM Integration Toolkit version > IBM Integration Toolkit, where version is the version number of IBM Integration Bus that you are using.
    • Linux platformOn Linux, start IBM Integration Toolkit from the main menu or run the script file provided. On a command line, navigate to the root directory of the package group and enter the following command:
      ./launcher
  2. To verify that the IBM Integration Bus Healthcare Pack patterns are installed in the IBM Integration Toolkit, click the Patterns Explorer tab, then click Healthcare.
  3. To verify that the MedicalDeviceInput node is installed in the IBM Integration Toolkit, create a message flow and add a MedicalDeviceInput node to it. If you can drag the MedicalDeviceInput node onto the canvas, the node is installed successfully.
  4. To verify that the IBM Integration Bus Healthcare Pack documentation is installed in IBM Integration Toolkit, click Help > Help Contents, then, in the table of contents, click IBM Integration Bus Healthcare Pack. If you can see the IBM Integration Bus Healthcare Pack documentation, it is installed successfully.

Verify that web-based monitoring is enabled for IBM Integration Bus Healthcare Pack

Verify that the Web-based Monitoring component is installed correctly.

If you installed the Web-based Monitoring component, verify that it is installed correctly by completing the following steps:

Ensure that you can access web-based monitoring; see Accessing web-based monitoring.

Verify that IBM Integration Explorer is enabled for IBM Integration Bus Healthcare Pack

Verify that the Operational Monitoring in the IBM Integration Explorer component is enabled.

If you installed the Operational Monitoring in the IBM Integration Explorer component, verify that IBM Integration Explorer is enabled for IBM Integration Bus Healthcare Pack by completing the following steps:

  1. Make sure that you are logged on as a user with root or administrator authority.
  2. Start the IBM Integration Explorer:
    • Windows
platformOn Windows, click Start > Programs > IBM Integration Bus version > IBM Integration Explorer, where version is the version number of IBM Integration Bus that you are using.
    • Linux platformOn Linux, enter the strmqcfg command on a command line, or run /usr/bin/strmqcfg.
  3. To verify that the Healthcare Operational Monitoring view is installed in the IBM Integration Explorer, click Window > Show view > Healthcare Operational Monitoring. If you can see the Healthcare Operational Monitoring view, it is installed successfully. You might need to close the Welcome page to see other views.
  4. To verify that the IBM Integration Bus Healthcare Pack documentation is installed in the IBM Integration Explorer, click Help > Help Contents, then in the table of contents, click IBM Integration Bus Healthcare Pack. If you can see the IBM Integration Bus Healthcare Pack documentation, it is installed successfully.

Verify that the Medical Device Integration component is enabled for IBM Integration Bus Healthcare Pack

Verify that the Medical Device Integration component is enabled.

If you installed the Medical Device Integration component, complete the following steps:

  1. Open a command prompt:
    • Windows
platformOn Windows, open a command console by clicking Start > All Programs > IBM IBM Integration Bus version > Command Console, where version is the version number of IBM Integration Bus for which you want to use IBM Integration Bus Healthcare Pack.
    • Linux platformOn Linux, initialize the command environment by running the mqsiprofile command.
    In the command prompt, if you can see the message: mqsiprofile extended for Healthcare Pack MedicalDeviceInput node, the component is enabled for IBM Integration Bus Healthcare Pack. If you cannot see this message, ensure that the MedicalDeviceInput node installation script is in the correct folder in your work path; see Completing postinstallation steps for IBM Integration Bus Healthcare Pack.
  2. Deploy a message flow that contains a MedicalDeviceInput node. For information about how to configure a MedicalDeviceInput node, see Configuring a MedicalDeviceInput node. For information about how to deploy a MedicalDeviceInput node, see Deploying a message flow that contains a MedicalDeviceInput node. If you can deploy the message flow, the Integration Bus component is enabled for IBM Integration Bus Healthcare Pack.
The components are enabled for IBM Integration Bus Healthcare Pack.
