Airline Reservations sample

The Airline Reservations sample is a message flow application based on the scenario of an airline reservation system. You can run the Airline Reservations sample by using the supplied self-defining XML messages.

The Airline Reservations sample demonstrates how to use a range of message flow nodes, including the following nodes:

• AggregateControl, AggregateReply, and AggregateRequest
• Compute
• Database
• Filter
• Label and RouteToLabel
• Throw and Trace

The Airline Reservations sample also demonstrates how to access databases, and how to use the local environment to dynamically route messages based on the destination list.

Set up the database

You can set up the sample in one of the following ways:

• Import and deploy the sample

  This option imports the sample files into your workspace and deploys the sample to the integration node. This option also sets up additional resources for the sample, for example, WebSphere MQ queues.

• Import the sample

  This option imports the sample files into your workspace. Additional manual steps might be required to configure the sample for testing.

You can import or import and deploy a sample only when you use the information center that is integrated with the IBM Integration Toolkit.

When you have finished with the sample, you can remove the database, see Cleaning up the database.

When you have finished with the sample, you can remove it in one of the following ways:

• Remove the sample from the integration node, but leave its resources in the workspace
• Remove the sample from the integration node and the workspace
