Converting WebSphere Enterprise
Service Bus projects
incrementally
To minimize manual work after conversion, you should convert
your WebSphere® Enterprise
Service Bus projects incrementally
when a mediation module has at least one library project dependency
defined or when multiple mediation modules have at least one project
dependency defined on the same library.
In order for the WebSphere ESB
conversion tool to operate,
you must select a minimum of one library project or one WebSphere Enterprise
Service Bus mediation module project.
To incrementally convert your WebSphere Enterprise
Service Bus projects and minimize manual
post-conversion work, complete the following steps:
- Use the same WebSphere ESB conversion session to convert
a mediation module and all its project dependencies.
- Select the global option Merge new conversion
results with the results from previous runs of this conversion session and use the IBM® Integration Bus default project
conversion names.
- Determine the order in which you want to convert your library
projects.
In WebSphere Enterprise
Service Bus, you define a specific order to resolve library
references. Review the order and convert your projects in this order.
- Optional: In the order that you determined
in the previous step, convert each of your WebSphere Enterprise
Service Bus library projects, one at a
time. Complete your to-do tasks before you convert your next WebSphere Enterprise
Service Bus library.
- Convert your WebSphere Enterprise
Service Bus mediation module project. Complete your to-do tasks before you convert
more WebSphere Enterprise
Service Bus projects.
Results:- A WebSphere Enterprise
Service Bus library project converts
to an IBM Integration Bus library project.
- A mediation module with one export that has a SOAP/HTTP binding
converts to an integration service.
- Other WebSphere Enterprise
Service Bus mediation modules
convert to an IBM Integration Bus application.
