Adding and removing library references

To include a library in an application or integration project, you can add a reference to that library to the application or integration project. You can also add a reference to a library from another library.

Before you start:
Ensure that you have completed the following tasks.

An application contains all the resources that you need to build a business solution. A library contains a set of resources that you reuse for different solutions. To include one or more libraries of resources in your application or integration project, you create references to those libraries. An application, integration project, or library can refer to one or more libraries.

If you deploy a library embedded in an application (the application refers to the library), and that library is not deployed to an integration server separately, the library is private; the library is not accessible to other applications or message flows outside the referring application. If you deploy a library separately to an integration server, that library is shared, and is accessible to other resources that are deployed to that integration server and not contained in an application.

The following steps describe how to add and remove library references.
