Pushing REST APIs to IBM API Connect or IBM API Management
Create or update a definition for your deployed REST APIs on IBM® API Connect or IBM API Management.
Before you begin
- Create a REST API in the IBM Integration Toolkit; see Creating a REST API.
- Deploy the REST API to the integration server; see Packaging and deploying a REST API.
About this task
You can push (export) the definition of deployed REST APIs into IBM API Connect or IBM API Management, which you can then use to manage and publish your APIs. The methods that you can use to export the REST APIs depend on whether you are exporting to IBM API Connect or IBM API Management.
If you are using IBM API Connect, you can use either the mqsipushapis command or the web user interface to export one or more REST APIs in a single administrative task. Alternatively, you can use the IBM Integration Toolkit to export a single API at a time to either IBM API Connect or IBM API Management.
For more information about supported versions of IBM API Connect and IBM API Management, see the IBM Integration Bus system requirements web page.
Procedure
- To push one or more deployed REST APIs to IBM API Connect by using either the web user interface or the mqsipushapis command, follow the steps described in Pushing REST APIs to IBM API Connect.
- To push a single deployed REST API to either IBM API Connect or IBM API Management by using the IBM Integration Toolkit, follow the steps described in Pushing a REST API to IBM API Management or IBM API Connect by using the IBM Integration Toolkit.
