Viewing Activity Logs for message flows

You can view Activity Log data for a message flow by using the web user interface.

About this task

Each row within a log represents an activity. For more information about what is displayed for each activity, see Activity Logs.

Activity Logs are enabled by default, and you can view the data in the web user interface at any time, as long as the message flow has been deployed to an integration node that is running and connected.

Procedure

To open the Activity Log view for a message flow, complete the following steps:

  1. Start the web user interface for your integration node, as described in Accessing the web user interface.
    The navigator is displayed on the left side of the pane, showing the servers (integration servers), message flows, and other resources that are owned by your integration node.
  2. In the navigator, expand the Servers section, and then the integration server that hosts the message flow.
  3. Expand the Message Flows section, and click your message flow.
  4. Click the Activity Log tab to display the activity log entries for your message flow.

Results

For each activity log entry you can see the following information. To see the most up-to-date information, click Refresh in the tab header.
  • Timestamp: The date and time of the activity log entry. Click the column header to change the sort order of the messages.
  • Message: The BIP message ID that is associated with the activity log entry.
  • Thread ID: The thread number that is associated with the activity log entry. Click a thread ID to see only messages with the same thread ID. To reset the activity log to show all messages, click Clear Filter in the tab header.
  • Resource Manager: The resource manager (if any) that is associated with the activity log entry.
  • Message Details: A summary of the message. Hover over the message to see the full contents of the message.
