You can filter the results of business
transaction monitoring to show only those instances that match specified
criteria.
About this task
When you view the results of a business transaction, you
can display all the latest instances of the business transaction by
clicking Refresh, or you can click Filter to
display a subset of transaction instances based on their status or
global transaction ID.
Procedure
You can filter the results by the status of the instances
or by their global transaction ID, by following these steps:
- Click the View tab of
the relevant business transaction definition.
- Click Filter to open the Filter dialog
box.
- You can filter the results either by status or by transaction
ID:
- To display all instances with a particular status, click Status and
then select one of the following options:
- In progress shows all transactions that are still
running.
- Ended shows all transactions that have completed
successfully.
- Failed shows all transactions that stopped without
completing.
- Inconsistent shows all transactions whose state
could not be resolved as
In progress
, Ended
,
or Failed
, as a result of a problem occurring in
the transaction. For example, if a transaction passed through your
flows twice, two start events and two end events would be received,
and the transaction would be marked Inconsistent
.
- To display all instances with a specified global transaction
ID, or in a range of global transaction IDs, click one of the following
options and then enter the required ID in the entry field:
- equals
- contains
- starts with
- ends with
- Optional: To find out which filter parameters
are set, click Filter in the title bar of the
table. The Filter dialog box is displayed, showing
the current filter settings. Click Cancel to
close the dialog box and leave the filter settings unchanged.
- You can remove the filter and show all the latest instances
of the transaction by clicking Clear filter.
